In the logistics sector, compliance with legal requirements and operational safety are the cornerstones of any collaboration. As a client, you share responsibility for the external teams in your logistics centres.
The HAM-LOG GROUP supports you in minimising risk with a professional occupational safety concept. We combine the agility of our family-run origins with the strict compliance guidelines and certifications of a modern corporate group. We ensure legally compliant processes: from recruitment and accommodation right through to operational deployment.
Occupational Safety (HSE – Health, Safety & Environment)
Put into practice on the shop floor
A safe warehouse is a productive warehouse. For us, health and safety is not just a file on a shelf, but a process put into practice.
HLG health and safety means: we overcome the language barrier, ensure that instructions are understood, and thereby create safety for everyone involved in the process
- Instructions that are understood: Safety briefings (UVV), risk assessments and fire safety guidelines are translated directly into our teams’ native languages by our multilingual foremen. In addition, all health and safety documents are available in the languages of our team members.
- Competent staff: We employ only trained staff (e.g. with valid forklift licenses, G25 training and training in the handling of dangerous goods)
Quality management
Our operational and administrative processes are subject to regular, rigorous audits by both independent audit firms and our internal audit department.
This ensures that we not only meet our own quality standards, but also seamlessly fulfill the requirements of the procurement and compliance departments of our discerning clients.
Legally compliant contract drafting
The distinction between temporary agency work and a contract for services is strictly regulated by law. We offer you absolute transparency and security in both models to rule out issues such as pseudo self-employment or disguised agency work from the outset:
- Contract for services: We assume full managerial control. The distinction is clear: our teams are directed exclusively by our HAM-LOG managers.
- Temporary agency work (Employee Placement): We hold all necessary licences (AÜG) and guarantee equal pay, equal treatment and strict adherence to the maximum assignment duration.
Quality that can be measured: Certified and secure
Trust is good, certified security is better. Our clients, particularly those in highly sensitive sectors such as food, automotive or e-commerce, place the utmost importance on seamless compliance, health and safety at work, and adherence to legal requirements.
We rely on quality and safety management to achieve this. From regular training for our teams in their native languages, through transparent CSR guidelines, to strict adherence to all health and safety regulations (UVV) in your logistics warehouse: we guarantee operational excellence, backed by official certification.

Questions & answers on health and safety in warehouse logistics
Training of operating staff
We organise regular training and further professional development for our qualified staff who operate industrial trucks, in collaboration with the German Social Accident Insurance Institution for Trade and Goods Logistics (BGHW).
Procurement
We advise and support our managers on the procurement of work equipment, suitable workwear, the correct personal protective equipment, and fire safety, first aid, skin protection and hygiene supplies.
In collaboration with our property management team, our occupational safety specialists ensure compliance with statutory requirements in our employees’ workplaces, in particular in accordance with the Technical Rules for Workplaces (ASR A4.4). Furthermore, we also ensure compliance with these requirements in our accommodation facilities. We achieve this by procuring the necessary occupational safety and fire safety equipment.
Support & Advice
Our team, comprising occupational safety specialists, fire safety officers and dangerous goods officers, provides support within the HAM-LOG GROUP on safety engineering and dangerous goods regulations, based on the Occupational Safety Act (ASiG), DGUV Regulation 2, and the relevant regulations and provisions governing hazardous substances.
Occupational health services are provided in collaboration with partner organisations. Here, we offer occupational health check-ups and carry out fitness-for-work assessments for our staff.
Incident Management
Should an emergency or accident occur despite all precautionary measures, our team takes charge of analysing and reviewing the incident. The aim is to minimise future risks by learning from incidents and continuously improving processes. In addition, we support our managers in ensuring an emergency response organisation in accordance with Section 10 of the Occupational Safety and Health Act by organising training and further education courses for first aiders.
Risk Assessments
As part of regular project visits and safety inspections, we review our employees’ working conditions within their respective work systems and draw up or revise prospective and retrospective risk assessments in accordance with the applicable statutory and employers’ liability insurance requirements, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Act (ArbSchG), the Maternity Protection Act (MuSchG), the Industrial Safety Regulation (BetrSichV) and the Load Handling Regulation (LasthandhabV).
Prevention
Based on risk assessments, we work with our managers to develop and revise organisational, personal and behavioural prevention measures, such as operational instructions, briefings and training courses on health and safety at work. Together with our management team, we draw up proposals for operational measures in the areas of occupational health and safety, fire safety and health protection for our employees during quarterly health and safety committee meetings.
Training & Awareness
We conduct our own training courses on occupational health and safety and fire safety in consultation with our managers and organise regular training and further education programmes in collaboration with the employers’ liability insurance associations.
As part of our projects, we regularly train and provide further training for our fire safety officers every two years in accordance with ASR A2.2 and DGUV Information 205-023, using our own equipment.
Where necessary, we organise additional training on the transport of dangerous goods for the relevant modes of transport in accordance with the applicable regulations and ordinances governing dangerous goods.
Safety Management
We are responsible for developing and implementing safety standards in client projects that comply with current statutory and occupational health and safety requirements and meet both client-specific and industry-specific requirements.
